Privacy Policy for Privanote

Privanote (“the App”) is provided by Javandes Developer (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

1) Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data. The App stores your notes locally on your device using local storage. Your content is not uploaded to our servers.

2) Local Storage

Your notes, tags, preferences (such as theme), and optional PIN hash are saved locally on the device. You can remove this data by uninstalling the App or deleting notes manually.

3) PIN Lock (Not Encryption)

The optional PIN feature is designed to prevent casual access. PINs are stored as a hash value. This is not cryptographic encryption of your notes. For sensitive information, we recommend exporting your notes and encrypting the backup file using your preferred tools before storing it in the cloud.

4) Backups (Export/Import)

The App lets you export notes to a JSON file and import them later. You control where those files are stored. Please keep backups in a safe location.

5) Device Permissions

No special permissions required to use core features.
If you choose Export/Import, the App will access files you select solely to complete that action.

6) Advertising & Analytics

By default, Privanote does not include analytics. If advertising (e.g., AdMob) is enabled in a future release, we will update this policy and disclose any data processing performed by the ad provider. Ads shown will follow Google Play policies and be clearly labeled.

7) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8) Security

Because data is stored locally on your device, please keep your device secure. We recommend using a device lock and regularly backing up and (optionally) encrypting exported files.

9) Your Choices

Use Export/Import to manage your data across devices.
Delete notes anytime from within the App.
Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above and by providing an updated copy within the App and/or on our website.
